                                DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION & SPECIFICATION 

     Teccon offers three basic types of heat exchangers i.e. fixed tube sheet type, removable bundle type and U tube type. Teccon provides well conceived optimum designs to suit every application of heat exchange and recovery of captive consumption and O.E. application.

     All Teccon heat exchangers are off shell and tube type. The shell is made of seamless pipes/ERW pipes or rolled out from steel plates. The tubes are roller expanded into the tube sheets. Such an arrangements facilities easier removal of individual tubes. Also this type of joint withstands easily a pressure of 1000 psi. or more. All Teccon heat exchangers are designed and fabricated to give higher heat transfer rate employing optimum number of tubes. Excess heat transfer area is provided to accommodate variation in loads on specific request.

     The heat exchanger range includes heat transfer capacities of 1000 K. cal/hr. to 10,000,000 K. cal/hr. and heat transfer area from 1 m2 to 500 m2 with M.S., S.S, Brass , cupro-nickel and copper as material of construction conforming to ASME, TEMA, IS, BS and DIN specifications.

                                               FIXED TUBE SHEET TYPE

     Fixed tube sheet heat exchangers are the ones that are very much used in process chemical industries and refinery services, as there is absolutely no chance for intermixing of fluids cannot be tolerated. The main constructional feature is that the tube sheets act as flangs and end cover and channel bolted to them. This construction requires that the shell and tube sheet materials must be weldable to each other.

                                          REMOVABLE BUNDLE TYRE

     The special feature of this type of heat exchanger is that the tube bundle can be withdrawn from the shell which facilities cleaning of outer surface of the tubes and inner surface of the shell. The sealing between shell and tube side fluid is achieved by means of rubber 'O' rings which set in a group in between the tube sheet and shell flange. Another greater advantage of this type is that, linear expansion of material caused by appreciable and tube sheet wall is taken care of, since the tube sheet and shell are not welded together.

                                                   U TUBE TYPE

     This type of heat exchanger finds major applications in fuel oil systems as fuel oil suction heater. Also of the tube side fluid velocity is less and the allowable pressure drop is less, this type if heat exchanger preferred. This type is most suitable for condensing vapours and clean tube side fluids.
